Message from the School's Administration

The Cochran School of Nursing, founded in 1894, has a history of preparing professional nurses who practice with compassion, enthusiasm, integrity and vision. Because nursing is a practice profession, we make sure our students participate in as much hands-on-care as possible. Our school is fortunate to be affiliated with St. Johns’ Riverside Hospital, a leading health care facility so when our students are in their clinical rotations they are learning from and working with some of the best nurses in their chosen profession. The relationship between Cochran School of Nursing and St. John’s Riverside Hospital also provides students with a sense of community. Cochran’s Simulation Laboratory and Skills Laboratory provides a “state of the art” environment in which students can practice nursing skills and clinical decision making that are needed to provide comprehensive and safe nursing care.

Nursing is an excellent and varied career that allows you to serve others and grow personally as well as professionally. We invite you to take a look at Cochran and learn why Cochran nurses are some of the best!
