The Student Organization

The Student Organization functions as the student committee that manages a variety of non- academic activities. Its purpose is to provide a forum for the expressed opinions and wishes of the student body through democratic processes and to conduct a variety of the student and professional activities. The Student Organization also has the responsibility of keeping students informed of legislative and professional developments that will have a direct bearing on them as nurses.

The Student Organization publishes The Cochran News Quarterly. All students are members of the organization and receive a copy of the Rules and Regulations of the Student Organization upon admission. As members of the Student Organization, the students actively participate in planning their own social and recreational activities. A member of the faculty serves as an advisor to the Student Organization. Students are also appointed to a variety of school committees such as Recruitment, Library, Admissions and Curriculum.
