Paper Application

RECOMMENDATIONS

We recommend that you complete as many of the following courses as possible before beginning your program of study at Cochran School of Nursing.  

1) High School or College level Algebra, Biology and Chemistry required before admission (passing grade in each).

2) Microbiology, Anatomy & Physiology I & II (with a lab) transferable to Cochran School of Nursing with a minimum B grade or better.

   

3) Nutrition: required to be taken in the second semester concurrent with Medical
     Surgical  Nursing 102, or before. (C+ or better) * taken within 5 year admission.

4) English Fundamentals of Exposition & English Elements of Exposition:  required during the third and fourth semesters.

5)  General Psychology: required in second year and before Psychiatric Nursing 203.

6) Sociology:  recommended in your second year, first semester or concurrently with second year 
     courses.

7) Developmental Psychology (must cover life span; birth to death): required in
      second year and  before beginning Nursing of Children, Nursing 202.

REQUIRED

1)   For the Evening section candidates all of the above pre and co-requisites must be  
      completed before beginning your program of study.  (No exceptions)
